Calligraphy on Kakejiku

Join us for a special hands-on workshop where you can experience the art of Shodo—Japanese calligraphy—and create your very own Kakejiku (hanging scroll)! In this 75-minute session, you’ll learn the basics of Japanese calligraphy, including a brief history, how to use traditional tools, and practice brush techniques. Then, choose your favorite kanji or meaningful word, and write it on a beautiful scroll to take home as a unique piece of art.
