MEBAEのワークショップでは、着物のハギレを使って自分だけのアート作品を作る楽しさを体験できます。着物の生地は、一枚一枚に歴史や想いが込められています。その美しい布を活かしながら、新しい形に生まれ変わらせることで、伝統を受け継ぎつつ、自分らしい表現を楽しめます。このワークショップでは、特別な経験や技術は必要ありません。初心者の方もお子様も安心してご参加いただけます！（対象年齢７歳以上になります。）完成した作品はお持ち帰りいただけるので、お部屋に飾ったり、大切な人へのプレゼントにしたりするのも素敵です。

Nice to meet you, I am Mayu.
In 2024, I founded MEBAE, a brand that brings the beauty of Japanese tradition into modern lifestyles. I create and sell scrunchies, bags, jackets, and more using vintage kimono fabric at markets in Melbourne and Sydney. With the concept of “Bringing Kimono into Everyday Life,” I design items that honor traditional beauty while making it easy to incorporate kimono into daily fashion. I have prepared an art-making session for this workshop using fabric remnants from my product creations.

はじめまして、まゆと申します。私は、日本の伝統美を現代のライフスタイルに取り入れるブランド MEBAEを2024年に立ち上げ、メルボルンやシドニーのマーケットで古着の着物を活かしたシュシュやカバン、ジャケットなどを制作・販売しています。「着物を日常に」というコンセプトのもと、伝統の美しさを大切にしながら、気軽に取り入れられるデザインを提案し、普段の暮らしの中で着物の魅力を感じられるアイテムをお届けしています。
今回のワークショップでは商品制作の際に出たハギレを使ったアート制作を準備しています。ワークショップを通して皆様に着物の美しさを楽しんでいただけると嬉しいです。
