Pomana from Hong Kong, Group Class

Konnichiwa. Watashi wa Pomana desu.
Like many others, there are things that you want to do in your life. I am interested to learn Japanese for a long time and this school is the best place to commence. I started as beginner and the learning atmosphere in class was incredible. Sensei organized different kinds of activities to teach us speak and write properly. I don't know I can learn a new language in such a cheerful way and learning Japanese here is one of my most memorable time in my life.
I strongly recommend anyone who want to learn or improve their Japanese to study here. I am looking forward to start my new term and wish to meet you guys in class. Believe me, you will enjoy every moment here.
Jon from the UK, Private Class

My name is Jon, originally from England, I have been living in Melbourne for the last 2 years. My wife is Japanese and we have been married for 6 years.
I've studied Japanese at night schools for a couple of years, but found it quite difficult to build my conversational language. Recently I decided to get back into it and joined the school in January.
I find the one on one tuition very useful (and challenging!). The main difference with their lessons is that they are all spoken in Japanese, with very little English. To begin with this is a bit unnerving, but teachers are very good at being able to articulate in a practical way, giving me confidence and encouragement to speak Nihongo (Japanese!).
Because my tuition is one on one, I am able to have my learning tailored to my level, focussing on my needs as well as building my overall grammar and vocabulary in a structured manner.
For me, their flexible style is a very strong point. They also understood my level very quickly and built my plan around this. Teachers purposely share my lesson plan to help boost my conversational skills and this works very well.
Ron from Australia, Conversation class and private class

“Ohayo! Boku ha Ron desu”
“Genki” is one of the first words you will learn in Japanese and you will initially encounter it in things like:
Q. “Ogenki desu ka?” How (well/healthy) are you?
A. “Hai, genki desu.” You are correct, I am well/have my health.
It is later on that you learn that it doesn’t really have a direct English translation because it covers a myriad of personal characteristic nuances such as ‘vibrant, bubbly, energetic, enthusiastic, lively, vivacious, full of life…’ the list goes on but you only understand the meaning by seeing it in practice.
I have studied Japanese language in Japan and Australia, in university, tertiary schools and private tuition and if I were to sum up the experience of learning Japanese here, I am afraid that I could not do it justice with an English word, so I will say “Genki” is the word I would like to describe what it is like learning here.
Lessons are well structured, tailored to suit students needs and, basically, fun & enjoyable to learn.
So if you wish to learn Japanese in a informative and fun way, and wish to learn the culture as well as the language (whether for business or general conversation), come study with us and try and discover the true meaning of “Genki”.
Chris Byrne from Australia, Private lesson

“My name is Chris and I had the pleasure of living in Osaka for one year in 2006. In my time in Japan, I never took any type of formal lesson in Japanese, rather just picked up various parts of the language as I went. On my return to Melbourne, I wanted to keep learning Japanese but to do it properly. Whilst searching for Japanese teachers on the internet, I was lucky enough to find Japaneasy Language School.
Teacher put me at ease with any embarrassment I had about my Japanese level, and what I learnt within one week with Minasensei had more substance than what I had picked up in my one year in Japan. But most of all it was enjoyable- it’s much easier to learn with a smile on your face the whole time! It became a time in my week that I genuinely looked forward to.
Minasensei is patient with me, even despite my tendency to forget things! And the fact the lesson is in Japanese forces me to concentrate and improve.
I look forward to continuing this year and urge anybody thinking about learning Japanese to do it the Japaneasy way….GANBARE!!”
